Make a signature file fit a 10 KB field.
Signature uploads often have two separate rules: a maximum file size and a required width or height. This tool handles the file-size part by producing a small JPG and showing you its final dimensions.
How to reduce a signature to 10 KB
- Choose a clear scan or photo of the signature.
- Set the target to 10 KB.
- Click Compress image and wait for the result.
- Download the JPG and compare its dimensions with your form’s instructions.
Prepare the signature before compressing it
Crop empty space around the handwriting first if the form permits it. A tightly cropped image gives the tool fewer unnecessary pixels to encode and may look clearer at the same file size. Keep a copy of the original scan in case the portal requires a different format.
Important: file size and dimensions are different
A 10 KB file can still have the wrong width or height for a particular application. The tool does not assume a portal’s rules. Use the exact pixel or aspect-ratio requirements printed beside the upload field.
